Description

Thanks to the built-in damp-proof barrier, this BodenWärme's Laminate & Wood Underlay Insulation makes it suitable for both timber and concrete floors. However, when installing over a concrete floor, you must always seal the joints between the underlay boards with the aluminium tape provided.

This underlay's high compression strength protects the heating mat from damage by minor imperfections in the subfloor in light and heavily trafficked areas. And thanks to its anti-fungal and mildew-resistant properties, this BodenWärme's Laminate & Wood Underlay Insulation is durable and long-lasting.

As well as having high thermal properties, this BodenWärme's Laminate & Wood Underlay Insulation has good sound insulation properties with impact sound reduction by 20dB, meaning loud noises and footsteps from rooms above are reduced.

Installation

These insulation boards can be easily cut with a sharp utility knife and require no specialist tools. And at only 5mm thick, the boards are incredibly lightweight and easy to carry and manoeuvre into position. All of this makes them quick to install for both keen DIY enthusiasts and professional fitters.
