Find out moreA premium heating solution designed for optimal warmth and comfort throughout your home, BodenWärme's Electric Underwood Heating Kit with Manual Thermostat is specifically designed for laminate and floating engineered wood floors. This robust and reliable underfloor heating system ensures a consistently cosy environment throughout your living space, while the easy-to-use thermostat ensures hassle-free operation.
Experience the luxury of evenly distributed heat across your floor, eliminating the common issue of hot and cold spots associated with conventional radiator heating systems. BodenWärme's commitment to quality is reflected in the lifetime guarantee covering all heating mats, complemented by separate manufacturer-backed warranties for the thermostats.
The dual-core wire of the heating mats, with a single connection point, sets it apart from other carbon film systems. The ultra-thin encapsulated 1mm wire minimises the increase in floor height, providing a sleek and unobtrusive heating solution. The tough Fluoropolymer heating element insulation ensures durability, while the aluminium mat composition evenly spreads the warmth.
Maintaining the perfect temperature profile is effortless with the white manual thermostat. Its LED indicator signals when the heating is active, and it fits seamlessly into a standard single gang back box with a depth of 45mm. Ideal for intermittent use, the thermostat is user-friendly, allowing simple adjustments to achieve the desired temperature while efficiently controlling heating based on your floor's temperature.
To calculate which kit size is right for your project, you will first need to work out the area of the whole floor space by multiplying the length of the floor by the width. Once this is done, you should then subtract any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will eradicate the risk of causing hot spots in your room. When you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between cables and around the perimeter of the room.
