This 13m² BodenWärme Electric Underfloor Heating Kit is a state-of-the-art underfloor heating solution designed for laminate and floating engineered wood floors. It provides a robust, efficient heating solution with minimal floor height increase, thanks to its dual-core wire with a single connection point. Operating at AC230V +/-10% 50/60Hz, it provides even heat distribution whilst the tough fluoropolymer insulation and aluminium mat construction ensures durability.
The sleek black thermostat features adaptive learning, everyday programming, key lock, and Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control. The 1mm ultra-thin encapsulated wire minimises floor height increase. And for best performance, you can pair the mats with BodenWärme 5mm XPS underlay insulation or equivalent. Each thermostat controls up to 24m², with larger areas requiring multiple zones.
You will first need to work out the area of the whole floor space by multiplying the length of the floor by the width. You should then subtract any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will eradicate the risk of causing hot spots in your room. When you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between cables and around the perimeter of the room.
