The BodenWärme 200W Electric Undertile Heating Mat with a manual thermostat is a reliable heating solution for natural stone, porcelain, and ceramic floors, ideal for high heat-loss areas like conservatories and bathrooms. Unlike traditional heating, it eliminates hot and cold spots, ensuring consistent warmth. The dual-core wire with a single connection point allows for easy installation, while the robust 3.6mm wire minimises floor height increase.
Fluoropolymer insulation with a PVC outer layer enhances durability, and the rapid-fit sticky mesh mat ensures quick setup. The included white manual thermostat with simple dial control fits a 45mm deep standard single gang backbox, making it ideal for rooms with minimal temperature adjustments. And for greater efficiency, install over 6mm or 10mm insulation boards to reduce heat loss and speed up heating times.
First work out the area of the whole floor space by multiplying the length of the floor by the width. You should then subtract any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will eradicate the risk of causing hot spots in your room. When you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between cables and around the perimeter of the room.
