The BodenWärme 200W Electric Undertile Heating Mat 4m² with a black WiFi touchscreen thermostat is a cost-effective solution for ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone flooring. Designed for rooms with high heat loss, it offers faster heat-up times and retains warmth longer. The durable fluoropolymer-insulated mats ensure even heating, eliminating hot and cold spots. While the 3.6mm dual-core wire minimises floor height increase, and the rapid-fit sticky mesh makes installation easy.

For durability and longevity, the mats are manufactured from Fluoropolymer conducting insulation with PVC outer insulation. The 200w/m² underfloor heating mats can be installed easily due to the rapid fit sticky mesh technology, and with a lifetime warranty, you can rest easy once they are installed. The thermostats are also covered by specific manufacturer backed warranties.

How should I calculate the correct size BodenWärme heating kit?

You will first need to work out the area of the whole floor space by multiplying the length of the floor by the width. You should then subtract any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will eradicate the risk of causing hot spots in your room. When you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between cables and around the perimeter of the room.

Installation

BodenWärme's heat mats are particularly suited to standard-shaped rooms and large areas. To install, simply roll out your mat and cut the rapid-fit sticky mesh backing and turn back in the opposite direction as needed.

Please note:

Installation must comply with Part P regulations and be completed by a certified electrician. Heat mats cannot be trimmed or returned once cut.
A single thermostat can manage up to 16m²; for larger areas, divide into zones with multiple thermostats.
The heating must be protected by a 30 Amp Residual Current Device (30mA RCD), protecting against electric shock.
