Find out moreThis BodenWärme 150w Electric Undertile Heating Mat with the simple Manual Electric Underfloor Thermostat is the ideal underfloor heating solution for natural stone, porcelain and ceramic floors, notably where temperature adjustments are infrequent. The heating mat system ensures you can achieve a comfortable and consistent temperature throughout your room.
Unlike other, more traditional methods for heating rooms, BodenWärme's 150w Electric Undertile Heating Mats will solve the issue of hot or cold spots. Designed to fit in a 45mm deep standard single gang backbox, the white Manual Electric Underfloor Thermostat also comes with your purchase. Its simple dial control that is easy to operate will allow you to control your BodenWärme heating system based on the floor temperature and is particularly suited to rooms where minimal adjustments are required.
If installed within a well-insulated room, BodenWärme's discreet heating mats can be used as a primary heat source. This means no need for radiators, which can take up much needed wall space and often stand out in more modern interiors. To improve the energy efficiency of your room, heat mats can be laid over underfloor heating insulation boards (6mm or 10mm thick), which will result in less time it takes to heat up and a reduction in the amount of heat loss through uninsulated floors.
BodenWärme Heating Mats are also backed with a lifetime warranty. Meanwhile, the thermostats are covered by specific manufacturer-backed warranties providing you with peace of mind.
To calculate which kit size is right for your project, you need to first work out the area of the entire floor space by multiplying the width of the floor by the length. Once this is done, you should then deduct any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will remove the risk of causing hot spots in your room. Once you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between mats and around the perimeter of the room.
