Find out moreAn excellent choice for rooms requiring minimal temperature adjustments, this BodenWärme 150-watt Electric Undertile Heating Cable Kit with a user-friendly Manual Electric Underfloor Thermostat is the ideal underfloor heating solution for heating bathrooms and irregularly shaped rooms with natural stone, porcelain and ceramic tiled floors.
Unlike other, more traditional methods for heating rooms, BodenWärme's 150-watt Electric Undertile Heating Cables will also reduce the risk of hot or cold spots from occurring. Designed to fit in a 45mm deep standard single gang backbox, the white Manual Electric Underfloor Thermostat also comes with your purchase. Its simple dial control that is easy to operate will allow you to control your BodenWärme heating system based on the floor temperature and is particularly suited to rooms where minimal adjustments are required.
If installed within a well-insulated room, BodenWärme's 150w discreet heating cables can be used as a primary heat source, meaning no need for radiators, which can take up much-needed wall space and often stand out in more modern interiors.
To improve your room's energy efficiency, you can lay heat cables over underfloor heating insulation boards (6mm or 10mm thick), which will result in less time it takes to heat up and a reduction in the amount of heat loss through uninsulated floors.
To calculate which kit size is right for your project, you need to first work out the area of the whole floor space by multiplying the length of the floor by the width. Once this is done, you should then subtract any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will eliminate the risk of causing hot spots in your room. Once you have a total area minus the subtractions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between cables and around the perimeter of the room.
